Edit a pets details

You can edit your pet’s details in the My Animal Trust app to keep their information accurate and up to date.
✅ What you can do
- Update your pet’s personal details
- Update breed, colour, or sex information
- Edit date of birth information
- Mark a pet as inactive if they are no longer under your care
⚙️ How it works
- Log in to the My Animal Trust app.
- From the dashboard, select the icon in the top-right corner of your pet’s name.
- Update the required information.
- Save your changes.
Below is a table showing what can and cannot be edited.

⚠️ Important: If you change your pet’s status to anything other than active (e.g. deceased or rehomed), they will no longer appear on the dashboard. However, the medical record will still be maintained in our system.
🎯 When to use this
Use this feature if your pet’s details have changed or if you notice incorrect information on your account. Keeping your pet’s information up to date helps us provide the best care and ensures your records are accurate when booking appointments.
❓ FAQs
Why can’t I edit some pet details?
The following fields are not editable: pet name, microchip number, weight, and status (if there is an active health plan). This is to ensure the medical record remains accurate and up to date within our systems.📩 Need more help?
