Create an appointment

You can create an appointment in the My Animal Trust app to request a visit for your pet at your preferred practice.

βœ… What you can do

  • Book a new appointment for your pet
  • Select your preferred practice
  • Select your preferred vet
  • Choose an available date and time
  • Add information about the reason for your visit
  • Receive email confirmation of the visit

βš™οΈ How it works

  1. Log in to the My Animal Trust app.
  2. From the dashboard, select Book appointment. You can also access this from the menu using the top-right button.
  3. Select the pet you want the appointment for and the practice you want to visit.

    πŸ’‘ Top tip : Your preferred practice will populate by default. If you want to change this, go to Profile settings. The drop down list to select from will show who's avaliable over the coming 5 weeks for this appointment type.

  4. Select the service and answer the questions.
  5. Add a short reason for visit.
  6. If you want to see a preferred vet, select them from the drop-down menu to check whether they have availability that suits you.

    πŸ’‘ Top tip:You can see the name of the vet you saw last underneath the drop-down menu.

  7. Use the arrow buttons to move between weeks. You can view appointments up to 5 weeks in advance.
  8. Select the date and time, then select Next.
  9. If there is no avaliability, you can quickly switch to another location on this same page by using the drop down at the top of the page.
  10. Review the confirmation screen and confirm within 60 seconds, otherwise the appointment slot will no longer be held.
  11. Once confirmed, you will receive an email.
  12. You will also see the appointment on your dashboard.

⚠️ Important: Appointment availability may vary depending on the selected practice and appointment type. Emergency cases should always be handled by contacting your practice directly.

🎯 When to use this

Use this feature when your pet needs veterinary care, a check-up, or a follow-up appointment. Booking through the app allows you to request an appointment quickly without needing to call the practice.

❓ FAQs

Why can’t I see any available appointments? Available appointments may be fully booked at your selected practice. Try selecting a different date or practice, or contact the practice directly for urgent appointments.
Can I cancel or change my appointment after booking? Yes, depending on the appointment status, you may be able to amend or cancel your appointment through the app. If this option is unavailable, please contact the practice directly.
